Home Use -

Family - From the student that is fresh off to college to the family member that occasionally visits and arrives late in the night, it is often necessary for family members to have a way to enter our homes without additional intervention on our part.

Currently the only ways to accommodate these scenarios is by giving the individual a key or leaving one in a location that can be readily accessed (under the proverbial door mat). New Fingerprint Sensor - Faster Matching Algorithm

The Guardian XL™ uses a high-performance algorithm to capture and identify each user and doesn’t actually store your fingerprint, but only a small subset of the representative features of your fingerprint called minutiae in a fingerprint template. This mathematical template cannot be removed from the lock to create a replica of your fingerprint by any method.

BioCert® Guardian Deadbolt Options -

• No Deadbolt - Standard Option:  The Guardian XL™ comes standard with a simple cylindrical lockset that can be opened simply with a touch of your finger.  This is most often the only solution needed for an interior application in the home or office.  For additional security we offer two optional deadbolt methods:
• Manual Deadbolt - £ 10.00 Additional Option:  The Guardian XL™ manual deadbolt can ONLY be actuated or released from INSIDE the safe zone.  If you need a safe place - NOW, you can simply engage the deadbolt from inside the lock and no-one will be able to enter - even if they are authorized in the lock. NOTE: This option does not qualify as "single step egress" and may not comply with most fire codes for public buildings.
• Automatic Deadbolt Option - £ 25.00 Additional - When you need to retract the deadbolt from the outside, simply order the "Automatic Deadbolt Option".  When an authorized user places their finger on the platen on the front of the door, both the cylindrical lockset and the deadbolt will retract allowing the authorized individual access.  To engage the deadbolt from inside, simply lift the handle on the door from the secure side.  Both deadbolts come in adjustable 2 3/8" and 2 3/4" sizes.

Fingerprint Capacity - 30 or 99 users The Guardian XL™ has a capacity of 30 (XL30) or 99 (XL99) unique fingerprint templates and can identify a specific person (1:N) in less than 1 second which is more than 3 times faster than competing fingerprint locks currently on the market. No Wake-up Codes! Through the use of a sensor installed directly below the fingerprint scanner that detects the contact of the user's finger, fingerprints will then be “read”, encoded and transmitted to the lock’s memory. The action of placing your finger on the fingerprint scanner automatically triggers the locks identification system. If the fingerprint template presented matches a fingerprint template enrolled in the system, the door unlocks and is then ready to open. No wake-up button or keystroke is required. This mechanism controls the power consumption thus saving energy and substantially prolonging the life of the batteries. The iQBioLock™ system in the Guardian XL Series Fingerprint Lock can also be operated with the use of PIN’s (6-12 digits) or an emergency non-duplicable mechanical key.
